I am a Licensed Clinical Master Level Social Worker and Psychotherapist specializing in helping individuals work through problematic behaviors and resolve traumatic events. Since 1998, I have focused my practice on using EMDR and PC in trauma therapy, trauma training and consultation. I also work with organizations on how to become more trauma-informed.
From 1992-97, I provided outpatient counseling services to children and families at Baker Victory Outpatient services. In 1997, I became a Director of the Restorative Justice programs at Child & Family Services, a position I held for over 10 years. I managed 10 programs that provided counseling services to adolescents and adults who committed crimes. In 2007, I moved to Japan for 2 years and provided counseling to Americans living in Japan. I returned home and began private practice and provided trauma trainings around the world.
In 1998, my clinical focus changed when I was trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I finally found an approach and technique that changed the lives of my clients. I pursued EMDR certification, Consultant status and eventually became an EMDR trainer. I am passionate about EMDR and I train other therapists all over the country. EMDR changes people’s lives and I can say that I heal people and help them find their healthy core self.
